Chart Reading Foundations
Build the vocabulary and annotation habits needed before zone mapping. Covers candlestick structure, swing points, and the language our intensive programmes use throughout.
Register InterestWho this is for
Readers with less than a year of chart experience, or those returning after a long break who want to rebuild fundamentals before advanced training. No prior workshop attendance required. If you already mark support zones regularly and understand swing structure, consider the Zone Mapping Intensive instead.
Curriculum overview
Day 1 — Reading candlesticks and swings
Body, wick, and range relationships. Bullish and bearish engulfing in context — not as standalone signals. Identifying swing highs and swing lows with a measurable reversal threshold. Common misreads: confusing wicks with reversals, ignoring the prior trend leg.
Day 2 — Annotation and preparation for zone work
Standard annotation conventions used across NextField programmes. Introduction to horizontal levels as precursors to zones. Guided exercises marking swings on current charts. Overview of what the Zone Mapping Intensive covers next, with sample annotated charts from past cohorts.
Included
- Foundation workbook with candlestick reference pages
- Guided chart exercises with instructor feedback
- Annotation standards sheet carried forward to intensive courses
- Lunch and refreshments (in-person cohorts)
